Golfing: The Equinox Golf Course
ORVIS FLY FISHING: Renowned fly fishing company offers private lessons for beginners to advanced casters. All instruction and guided river trips include the use of Orvis fly rods and reels. Our most popular program is our 2 hour Pond Combo lesson taught on our beautiful Equinox Pond. Anglers would receive 1 hour of casting instruction followed by 1 hour in a drift boat with your instructor. Lesson cost is $120 for 1 angler and $160 for 2 anglers. Age restrictions may apply.
ORVIS CLAY SHOOTING: Renowned outdoor sporting traditions company, offers private lessons for beginners to advanced shooters. All instruction include the use of Orvis shotgun. Our most popular program is our 1 hour of shooting instruction which teaches the Churchill method of shooting. Lesson cost is $190 for 1 shooter, each additional shooter is $35, up to a total of 4 participants. Age restrictions may apply. Lesson taught mid April through mid November – Monday through Saturday.
AREA HIKING: Walks and Hikes are great ways to explore the natural beauty and history of Manchester & the Mountains. Some of the best trails include: The Equinox Preserve consists of over 914 acres and 12 miles of trails on the slopes of Mt Equinox. Some of the favorite views in the Trust are the Equinox Pond, Robin’s Lookout and Lookout Rock. Terrain varies from easy to very challenging. For more hikes, see the concierge desk. HILDENE – THE LINCOLN FAMILY HOME: Abraham Lincoln’s descendants lived in this 24-room Georgian Revival mansion until 1975. Visitor’s center, main house, refurbished Pullman train car, Nubian Goat farm and cheese making facility. Open daily 9:30am – 4:30pm.
